Eldorado, the golden country
Once upon a time, there was a young monkey who
believed every legend and tale he was told. However one day, he had a
conversation with one of his friends. ”Will you come with me to find
Eldorado?” he asked. “Why do you think nobody is going there or has ever
found that fabulous country?” his friend replied.
Our hero fell in deep thoughts. Therefore, he
asked the old storytellers why nobody was going there or had ever found that
fabulous country but none of them wanted to give him an acceptable answer or
they just turned away staring at him in disbelief.
When he had grown up, he decided to travel around
the planet to find out about the truth. Therefore, he said good-bye to all
his relatives and friends and went away.
On his journey, he found a country where the
monkeys washed themselves with sand because they didn’t have much water even
to drink. Then, he came to a country, where the houses were made of cheese
and chocolate and clocks were hanging around everywhere. They hurried from
place to place because it was considered a major crime to be late. There was
a country where the monkeys didn’t want to have children anymore because they
preferred to have a good carrier. He visited a country where females had to
stay at home and couldn’t drive a car. He found a country where the monkeys
still chased the deer with the help of bow and arrow and believed that the
sun, the moon, the trees and the rain were different gods and goddesses.
Then, he came to a country, where the monkeys made expeditions to other planets
because they had destroyed the nature around them. There was a country where
the monkeys didn’t even know of the existence of other countries and didn’t
like any foreigners. He visited a country where he was told that everybody
had to live according to his destiny and nothing could be changed.
And when he had grown very old himself, he came
to a country where the monkeys with slit eyes bowed deeply to each other. He
asked them where he could find the country where people lived longest and
happily, so they questioned him because he looked so very old where he was
from and that they would really like to visit his country because the monkeys
there must be the longest living and happiest.
