Development of communication
At the
beginning, communication was very poor.
- The monkey had just hunted a deer, brought it
to his cave and was now looking for a female to share it with as a kind of
wedding gift.
Suddenly something moved behind the bushes near
the fountain, so he took his spear and sneaked up there without making a
noise. Having come near enough he parted some leaves and prepared to throw
his weapon at whatever had come near to his cave. However, what he saw
delighted him very much. It was a female without weapons. That was what he
was looking for. She was feasting on the refreshing water and had forgotten
the world around her. Probably, she was very thirsty. Water was rare in this
region. Very carefully, he crept nearer and when he was behind her hit her on
the head with his club. Of course, he paid attention not to kill her. Then, he
grabbed her by the hair and dragged her into his cave. When she regained
consciousness, he invited her to eat.
Some thousand years later, a kind of development
could be observed.
- A monkey with two thick sticks stood next to a
hollow tree trunk and used it as a kind of drum. The message was still very
simple: “Tam-taram-tam-taram-taram-tam!” which meant something like “Here is
a male with food and cave!” It was not without danger to send such a message
into the night because it attracted not only females but as well other males
who wanted to take possession of his goods.
At the time when monkeys formed groups to hunt
together, face mimic and body language appeared.
- Monkeys dancing around the fire did not only
try to appease the spirits of the animal to hunt but as well to show who
would win the right to the few females in the group.
Showing wealth became an important aspect.
- “I have three hundred cows and many servants,”
shouted the monkey, “therefore, I have the means of buying and feeding fifty
females,” and there were many fathers happily selling him one or two of their
daughters. Not only because they needed the cows more than their daughters
but as well (at least, the author hopes so) because their daughters wouldn’t
suffer from hunger.
The appearance of religion rendered life more
difficult.
- “You are now married in front of the father,
the son and the holy spirit! The wife shall always serve her husband!” This
principle was very easy to understand; it gave absolute right to males over
females and remained like that for a very long time.
And it seems that males’ brain has still not been
able to comprehend that enlargement of rights for females also means more
rights for all other small people.
The reward for the winner
- During a tournament in the middle ages, every
knight chose a female on the grandstand, lowered his lance and the chosen
lady tied her silk handkerchief to the weapon. He was going to fight in her
colours and in case of winning, got her as a reward that night.
Odour does not only matter in the world of
animals
- Some Muslim females were making their way to
the market. Suddenly, one of them stood still and put her nose up in the air.
“There is a very bad smell filling the street,” she announced, “a Christian monkey
must be approaching.” Some seconds later, he came around the corner and the
Muslim females dispersed in every direction. “I don’t understand why these
pagans always run away when I come. My soul is clean; therefore, I don’t have
to wash myself, not like those Muslims who wash five times a day before they
pray to their worthless god. My god, his son and the holy spirit are the only
right ones.”
Imitating birds
- When sheer strength was not enough to conquer a
female, the monkey sang under the balcony of his beloved and she dropped a
rose down to him. How beautiful ballads were written at that time!
Cyrano de Bergerac
- The ugly monkey wrote his beloved wonderful
verses and for the first time, the female had the feeling that she was not
just the decoration of a handsome male because the lyrics was addressed only
to her.
First step of technics
- “Hey, babe! I’m on the way to you,” he told her
on the mobile phone while sitting in his expensive car.
The future
- A monkey on Mars chatting with his beloved on
Venus via cosmos net.
